The news that has had theatre land talking this week includes
Mrs Doubtfire to run in the West End
After a successful run in Manchester earlier this year, it has been announced that the musical adaptation of Mrs Doubtfire will run in the West End next year.
The show will open at the Shaftesbury Theatre on May 12.
The cast will include Gabriel Vick as Daniel Hillard with Cameron Blakely as Frank Hillard, Marcus Collins as Andre, Carla Dizon-Hernadez as Lydia Hillard and Ian Talbot as Mr Jolly.
Further casting includes Maria Garrett, Samuel Wilson-Freeman, Joshua Dever, Adam Lyons, Kiera Haynes, Lisa Mathieson, Matt Overfilled, Ellie Mitchell, Rebecca Donnelly, Tom Scanlon, Vicki Lee Taylor, Amy Everett and Paulo Teixeira.
Those playing the roles of Miranda Hillard, Stuart Dunmire, Janet Lundy and Wanda Sellner along with full casting will be announce at a later date.
Wicked to tour the UK once more
It has been announced that Wicked will tour the UK, opening in Edinburgh next Christmas and touring through to 2025.
It will visit Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Bradford, Southampton, Liverpool, Dublin, Sunderland, Cardiff and Manchester.

Operation Mincemeat to play in the West End
Following successful runs at the New Diorama Theatre, the Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios, it has been announced that Operation Mincemeat will transfer into the west end.
Based on the true story of a plan to fool the Nazis, the hit musical will run at the Fortune Theatre from 29 March to 8 July 2023.

Head over Heels to have UK Premiere
It has been announced that Broadway Musical Head Over Heels will have its uk premiere next year.
The piece, written by Jeff Whitty and James Magruder, is based on The Countess of Pembroke’s Arcadia and features the music of iconic 80’s band the Go-Gos.
Tom Jackson Greaves) will direct and choreograph the new UK production which will run 26 January to 2 March at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre
Casting announced for SuperYou workshop
Casting has been announced for the west end bound musical SuperYou, which goes into workshops next month. The show follows a comic book artist who finds her voice when her characters come to life.
Set to take part in the workshop will be Vicki Manser as Katie, Tom Francis as Jay, Will Bozier as Mi Roar, Natalie Green as Blast, Benjamin Terry as Seven, Renee Lamb as Ima-mazing, Lourds Lane as Rise, Abigail Jane as Lightning Girl, Aaliyah Monk as young Katie, Jonty Peach as Matty and Ebony Molina as Mom.
