Sierra Boggess to perform concert in London


It has been revealed that stage star Sierra Boggess will be performing a concert in London later this year.

Famed for her appearances in The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, School of Rock and Les Miserables, Boggess will appear live in concert in Christmas at the Cadogan Hall on Sunday 11 December.

Boggess has said “I’m thrilled to be returning to London to make music together at Cadogan Hall! The concert will feature songs that I love to perform, as well as some holiday music to celebrate the season!”

Get Up, Stand Up! announces West End closing date

It has been announced that Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical will close early next year, a few weeks earlier than scheduled.

The show, which is currently running at the Lyric Theatre, will play its final performance on January 8 2023 with a UK Tour planned. Dates for the tour are yet to be announced.

New Casting announced for UK Tour of Rock of Ages

New casting has been announced for the UK Tour of Rock of Ages, with Kevin Kennedy once more playing Dennis Dupree with Cameron Sharp opening as Stacee Jaxx in Inverrness later this month.

Natalie Winsor will star as Justice with David Breeds as Franz Klinemann and Tianna Sealy-Jewiss joining the ensemble.

The cast continuing with the tour includes Sam Turrell as Drew, Gabriella Williams as Sherrie, Vicki Manser as Regina, Joe Gash as Lonny, Vas Constanti as Hertz Klinemann, and Erin Bell as Constance with Billy Roberts, Scott Hayward, Darius James, Reece Duncan, Hollie-Ann Lowe, Phoebe Samuel-Gray and Morgan Scott.

The tour is set to visit Inverness, Glasgow, Sunderland, Tunbridge Wells, Poole, York, and Cambridge with further casting expected to be announced for the 2023 tour venues

The Drifters Girl sets West End closing date

It has been announced that The Drifters Girl will end its London run in October, earlier than planned.

Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian said: “When Adam, Tarinn, Matt and Tosh agreed to be in The Drifters Girl, we were overjoyed because we knew they were special. As are our team of covers, who kept the show going through the immensely difficult periods that the entire theatre industry has faced with Covid. Now we are fortunate to have Felicia, who is giving a thrilling performance every night as Faye Treadwell. It is an extraordinary company. Replacing them all was always going to be difficult, so we have made the decision to close the show when everyone’s contracts end on 15 October’

The show will head out on a UK Tour, starting at the mayflower Southampton in September 2023.

The UK Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory finds its Wonka.

It has been announced that Gareth Snook will appear as Willy Wonka in the upcoming UK Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Snook has said ‘This is a completely new production and a fresh interpretation of this wonderful show. I can’t wait to get in the rehearsal room and start to create Willy Wonka. He’s such a fascinating and iconic character.”

The tour begins in Leeds in November with further casting to be announced.
