The news that has had theatre land talking this week includes


New casting announced for the UK Tour of Les Miserables


It has been announced that Siobhan O’Driscoll and Lauren Drew are joining the cast of the UK Touring production of Les Miserables

O’Driscoll joined this week, playing the role of Eponine with Drew due to join the cast in November as Fantine.

They join Dean Chisnall as Jean Valjean, Nic Greenshields as Javert, Ian Hughes as Thénardier, Will Callan as Marius, Helen Walsh as Madame Thénardier, Samuel Wyn-Morris as Enjolras, and Paige Blankson as Cosette.

The cast is completed by George Arvidson, Aidan Banyard, Will Barratt, Adam Boardman, Rebecca Bolton, Emily Olive Boyd, Olivia Brereton, Harry Chandler, Rebecca Ferrin, Aimee Good, Steven Hall, Jenna Innes, Tessa Kadler, Damian Kneale, Caleb Lagayan, Abel Law, Joseph McDonnell, Zabrina Norry, Emily Owens, Jordan Simon Pollard, Jamie Pritchard, Dean Read, Rebecca Ridout and Rick Zwart.

Casting announced for tour of Saturday Night Fever

Casting has been announced for the uk tour of Saturday Night Fever which starts next week.

Jack Wilcox will play the role of Tony Manero with Rebekah Bryant as Stephanie.

Harry Goodson-Beven will play Bobby C, with James Brice as Gus, Liam Morris as Double J, Dominic Gore as Joey, Billie Hardy as Annette, Tosca Fischer as Connie, Emily Bolland as Linda, Phillip Aiden as Frank Senior, Marios Nicolaides as Frank Junior, Melody Jones as Flo Manero, and Faizel Jaye as DJ Monty.

The ensemble is completed by Yiota Theo, Ashley Luke Lloyd, Anthony Starr, Joshua Clayton, Helen Gulston and James Cohen.

Spongebob Musical to have UK premiere

It has been announced that Broadway hit The Spongebob Musical will make its UK premiere with a touring production.

It will open at Birmingham next April and play at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in the summer, with further dates and casting details to be revealed.

New casting announced for & Juliet

New casting has been announced for the smash hit musical &Juliet.

Nicolas Colicos will join the cast as Lance with Joe Foster joining to play May. Billy Nevers will return to the production to play the role of Francois.

They join Miriam-Teak Lee – who was awarded the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Actress in 2020 for her performance as Juliet – and who leads a cast including award-winner Cassidy Janson as Anne Hathaway, Oliver Tompsett as William Shakespeare, Tom Francis as Romeo, and Malinda Parris as Angelique, the Nurse. The new three have their first performances on Monday 26 September

The ensemble includes Ebony Clarke, Bessy Ewa, Collette Guitart, Cassandra Lee, Nathan Louis-Fernand, Zara MacIntosh, Carl Man, Christian Maynard, Rachel Moran, Owen Saward, Aaron Shales, Benjamin Terry, Suki Wong, Ivan De Freitas, Rhian Duncan, Alex Tranter, Sophie Usher and Rhys Wilkinson.

Casting announced for Accidental Death of an Anarchist

Casting has been revealed for Accidental Death of an Anarchist which runs at the Sheffield Crucible from September 23 to October 15.

Daniel Rigby will play the title role with Shane David – Joseph as Joseph, Tony Gardner as the superintendent, Jordan Metcalfe as Daisy, Ruby Thomas as Fi Phelen and Howard Ward as Burton.
