Phantom of the Opera extends West End Run
It has been announced that the much loved London production of The Phantom of the Opera has extended its West End run
The show, which currently stars Killian Donnelly as the phantom, Lucy St Louis as Christine and Rhys Whitfield as Raoul, is now booking at the Her Majesty’s Theatre until 1 October 2022.
Dates announced for West End Live 2022
Dates have been confirmed for this years West End Live event as it makes its long awaited return to its summer slot.
The event, which sees many west end hits performing for free to crowds in Trafalgar Square, is set to take place on 25 and 26 June. Line up and presenters will be announced in due course.
Further casting announced for Grease
Further casting as been announced for the upcoming production of Grease, which is set to run at the Dominion Theatre from May.
Dan Partridge and Olivia Moore will play the roles of Danny and Sandy respectively, with Paul French as Knickie, Noah Harrison as Roger, Jake Reynolds as Doody, Damon Gould as Sonny, Jocasta Almgill as Rizzo, Mary Moore as Jan, Lizzy-Rose Esin-Kelly as Marty and Eloise Davies as Frenchie. Darnell Mathew James will play Eugene with Jessica Croll as Patty Simcox, Katie Lee as Cha Cha, Ronan Burns as Johnny Casino and Corinna Powlesland as Miss Lynch.
The cast is completed by Jack Harrison Cooper, Pearce Barron, Ben Culleton, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Ellie Kingdon, Kamilla Fernandes, Remi Ferinand, Kalisha Johnson, Zack Guest, Imogen Bailey, Kevin O’Dwyer and Carly Miles. Darren Bennett will play Officer Mailie and Vince Fontaine at certain performances.
Choir of Man to return to London
With its current run due to finish on April 4, it has been confirmed that the fan favourite The Choir of Man is set to return to London later this year.
Performances will begin again at The Arts Theatre on 1 October, running through to 12 February 2023.
Van Gogh Musical to have workshop ahead of world premiere
Matt Dahan and Kelly D’Angelo’s musical Starry will make it’s uk premiere, it has been confirmed
The workshop production, produced by Ameena Hamid will take place in the coming weeks. It maps the life of iconic painter Vincent Van Gogh, and its concept album was released in 2020.
The cast includes Jamie Muscato, Dean John-Wilson, Aaron Tech, Maiya Quansah-Breed, Reggie Mccarthy and Adrian Hansel .
