The news that has had theatre land talking this week includes,


Titanic the musical to embark on 10th anniversary tour

It has been announced that Titanic the musical will set sail on a new UK Tour next year to mark the shows 10th anniversary. It tells the stories of passengers aboard the doomed ship that sunk in 1912 with the loss of over 1500 lives, inspired by the tales of the real life passengers.

The tour will begin on 16 March 2023 in Bromley before visiting Newcastle, Belfast, Southampton, Birmingham, Norwich, Cardiff, Nottingham, Wycombe, Hull, Edinburgh, Dartford, Salford and Sheffield with more dates and casting yet to be announced.

Anything Goes announces further casting

Further casting has been announced for the London run and UK Tour of Anything Goes, which has now added 3 more weeks to the London run, opening now on 25 June instead of 15 July.

Joining the already announced Denis Lawson, Bonnie Langford, Simon Callow, Samuel Edwards, Nicole-Lily Baisden, Haydn Oakley and Carly Mercedes Dyer will Cornelius Clarke as Ship’s Purser, Trev Neo as John, Carl Au as Luke and Clive Hayward as Ship’s Captain.

The ensemble consists of Jessica Buckby, Natalie Chua, Eamonn Cox, Jacob Fisher, Selina Hamilton, Maddie Harper, Eu Jin Hwang, David Kar-Hing Lee, Billie-Kay, Sammy Kelly, Anna McGarahan, Perry O’Dea, Tom Partridge, Christopher Short, Jack Wilcox and Alexandra Wright and swings Josh Barnett, George Beet, Gabrielle Cocca and Emily Ormiston.

Kinky Boots to have its first UK Revival

It has been announced that hit musical Kinky Boots will have its first UK revival later this year at the New Wolsey Theatre, before also being staged at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.

It will be directed by Tim Jackson, the creative associate of Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch. He has said ‘I’m thrilled to be directing the first UK revival of this fabulous musical. It’s a show that’s got it all: big laughs, a banging pop score and an uplifting story about community, identity and embracing ourselves and each other’

Casting is yet to be announced.

Six the musical to be staged at Hampton Court Palace with original cast returning

It has been announced that the original queens of Six of the musical will reunite to perform two special shows in a 3000 seat auditorium at Hampton Court Palace. The two shows are set to take place on 19 and 20 June 2022.

The cast includes Jarnéia Richard-Noel as Catherine of Aragon, Millie O’Connell as Anne Boleyn, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Alexia McIntosh as Anne of Cleves, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard an Maiya Quansah Breed as Catherine Parr.

Casting announced for the fifth UK Tour of The Play That Goes Wrong


Casting has been announced for the upcoming UK Tour of The Play That Goes Wrong, the fifth tour for the smash hit comedy by Mischief Theatre

The cast, with includes those new to the company and those who have appeared in the show before, are due to start performances next month in Bath.

Colin Burnicle, previously an understudy in the London production, will play the role of Chris Bean, with fellow understudy Damien James stepping up to play Dennis. Fresh from appearing as the Blade in Magic Goes Wrong in London, Kazeem Tosin Amore will join the tour as Robert with understudies from the last tour, Edi De Melo and Aisha Numah stepping into the roles of Max and Sandra. Steven Rostance and Beth Lilly, who have both appeared in Mischief shows in the past will join the tour as Jonathan and Annie.

Making their mischief debuts will be Harry Boyd, Mary McGurk, Clare Noy and Will Taylor as understudies and stagehands.
