Fisherman’s Friends the Musical to tour the UK
Following a highly successful run at Truro’s Hall for Cornwall, the stage musical adaptation of Fisherman’s Friends, which is loosely based on the real rags to riches story of Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends singing group is to set sail on a UK Tour next show.
The tour will begin at the Theatre Royal Plymouth on September 1st, before visiting Birmingham, Cheltenham, Salford, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Dublin, Cardiff, Bath and Leeds with more dates and casting to be announced.

Hannah Waddingham joins Hocus Pocus 2
It has been announced that actress Hannah Waddingham, who recently won an Emmy award for her role in Ted Lasso, will be joining the hotly anticipated movie Hocus Pocus 2.
Playing the iconic three witches in the film will be Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker , and Kathy Najimy, while Doug Jones also returns as Billy Butcherson.
Mrs Doubtfire musical to have UK premiere
It has been announced that the new musical version of Mrs Doubtfire will receive it’s UK premiere next year.
The production will run at the Manchester Opera House from September 2 through to October 1. Casting is to be revealed.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande to star in Wicked movie
It has been announced that Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are to star in the movie adaptation of hit musical Wicked.
Erivo will play the role of Elphaba with Grande as Glinda
Universal Pictures will release the film, though a timeline has never officially been confirmed. Filming is expected to start in 2022.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie announces north American premiere cast
A number of West End cast members of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will join Layton Williams and Roy Haylock in the American premiere of the musical, running from 16 January to 20 February at Center Theatre Group’s Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.
Williams will once again take on the title role of Jamie New, with Haylock reprising the role of Hugo/Loco Chanelle. They’ll be joined by Melissa Jacques as Margaret New, Shobna Gulati as Ray, Gillian Ford as Miss Hedge, Hiba Elchikhe as Pritti Pasha, Marlon G Day as Jamie’s Dad, James Gillan as Tray Sophisticay, David O’Reilly as Laika Virgin, Leon Craig as Sandra Bollock, Richard Appiah-Sarpong as Cy, Zion Battles as Levi, Ryan Hughes as Mickey, Jodie Knight as Fatimah, Harriet Payne as Bex, Adam Taylor as Sayid, and swing Rachel Seirian.
The cast is completed by George Sampson as Dean, Kazmin Borrer as Vicki, Talia Palamathanan as Becca, and swing/dance captains Simeon Beckett and Emma Robotham-Hunt.
